- Maintaining accurate financial records for the hotel, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Assisting in the preparation of the hotel's budget and financial forecasts.
- Generating invoices for services provided and managing the billing process.
- Preparing financial statements and reports for management, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Managing the hotel's payroll system, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Monitoring and controlling expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinating with auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Handling tax-related matters, including filing tax returns and ensuring the hotel complies with tax laws.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors, including negotiating contracts and payments.
- Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Managing the hotel's cash flow and ensuring the availability of funds for daily operations.
- Using accounting software to input and track financial data.
- Interacting with guests, clients, and other departments to address financial inquiries and provide assistance.
- Working closely with other departments, such as the front desk and procurement, to ensure smooth financial operations.
Skills & Requirements:
- Hotel Management and/or skill relevant education preferred
- Pleasing personality and good communication skills
- Prior relevant hospitality experience in position of application.
