F & B Restaurant Manager

Your Role:

As a food and beverage service manager you will be responsible for managing F & B operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. Candidate should be able to forecast, plan and manage all F & B orders, staff and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and address any staffing issues.
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring proper staffing levels, and managing reservations.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service by interacting with guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Develop and update menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and guest preferences. Monitor the quality and presentation of food and drinks.
  • Create and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue through pricing strategies and upselling techniques.
  • Manage restaurant inventory, including food, beverages, and supplies. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and fire safety. Conduct regular inspections of the dining area.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract customers and increase restaurant revenue.
  • Implement and maintain quality standards for service, cleanliness, and food preparation.
  • Provide training to staff on service standards, procedures, and customer service techniques.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on restaurant performance to hotel management.
  • Foster positive relationships with regular guests and handle special requests or reservations for VIPs.
  • Coordinate and oversee special events, banquets, and private dining functions within the restaurant.
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize profit margins, such as monitoring portion sizes and reducing waste.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Hotel Management and/or skill relevant education preferred
  • Pleasing personality and good communication skills
  • Computer dexterity: MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Prior relevant hospitality experience in position of application.
