Your Role:

As a Front Office Associate you are responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and guest services. Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests, checking them in, and providing assistance during check-out.
  • Managing room reservations, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with booking changes or cancellations.
  • Addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assigning rooms to guests, considering special requests and room availability.
  • Handling guest payments, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods, and providing receipts.
  • Issuing room keys and maintaining a record of key distribution.
  • Answering incoming calls, providing information, and forwarding calls to relevant departments as per the Brand SOP.
  • Assisting guests with local information, transportation, restaurant reservations, and other concierge services.
  • Assisting with luggage storage, handling, and transportation to guest rooms.
  • Building positive relationships with guests and ensuring a pleasant and memorable stay.
  • Monitoring the lobby and front desk area to ensure guest safety and hotel security.
  • Managing cash, balancing cash drawers, and handling financial transactions accurately.
  • Collecting and recording guest feedback and addressing complaints or issues as needed.
  • Using hotel management software for check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure smooth guest services, including housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Preparing shift reports and handovers to communicate essential information to the next shift.
  • Following hotel protocols for emergency situations, such as evacuations or medical incidents.
  • Promoting additional services, upgrades, and amenities to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Handling guest billing inquiries and coordinating with the accounting department.
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Hotel Management and/or skill relevant education preferred
  • Pleasing personality and good communication skills
  • Computer dexterity: MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Prior relevant hospitality experience in position of application.
  • Must be open to joining at any of the AM Hotel Kollection locations (AM Hotel Kollection is now at 11 locations & growing)
