Restaurant Manager (Service)

Your Role:

As a Housekeeping Supervisor you are responsible for ensuring that the hotel maintains high cleanliness standards and provides a positive experience for guests. You are responsible for managing the housekeeping team and ensuring that all aspects of the housekeeping department run smoothly. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping associates, including assigning tasks, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet established cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities. Place orders as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure they meet quality standards and are properly maintained.
  • Create and manage work schedules for housekeeping staff, taking into account occupancy levels and special requests.
  • Address guest concerns and requests related to housekeeping, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort.
  • Train new housekeeping associates on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain records of room status, maintenance requests, lost and found items, and other relevant data. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the maintenance department.
  • Assist in the budgeting process by providing input on labor and supply costs related to housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication with other hotel departments to ensure the smooth flow of operations and guest services.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Hotel Management and/or skill relevant education preferred
  • Pleasing personality and good communication skills
  • Computer dexterity: MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Prior relevant hospitality experience in position of application.
